In the Heart of the Estérel, in this Legendary spot, once the secret lover's meeting place for the famous Gaspard de Besse and Dame Rose, The Auberge des Adrets, an old XVII century staging post, offers both a gastronomic and a romantic overnigth stay.
Some History

For a great many years the Auberge des Adrets was known as Post House and named: ‘Logis de l’Estérel’. Its owner received the most enviable title of ‘Post Master’.

If the Auberge des Adrets reminds us mostly of the feats and deeds of Gaspard de Besse, symbolizing around his personality the entire banditry of the Esterel area, we should also remember that its walls echoed religeous songs from the Provence pilgrims on their way to the Lérins monastery.
The earliest citations of a stopover at the ‘Logis de l’Esterel’ date back to the year 824, when the Prior of the Lérins monastery spent money on a meal at the Auberge.
Such feasts took place in the shade under the chesnut trees, close to a chapel dedicated to ‘Our Lady of Esterel’. No doubt this chapel had been built on the ruins of a roman Sacellum, close to a military cornerstone on the Aurelian roman route, and placed under the protection of the goddess Sterella.
Such long past historical experience still impregnates the ‘Auberge des Adrets’. Il also revigorates this very much alive and attractive mythical site. One cannot enter into this house and remain indifferent.

Our dream is called the Auberge des Adrets.
Recalling past Ages, our young Chef Michaël Morel will delight you with his menu "Instant Canaille", his menu "Estérel Gourmand" and his tasting menu "Gaspard et Dame Rose", as well as his elaborate carte which he creates following the rythm of the seasons.
